The Role: The Finance organization is responsible for the management and control environment for WorldQuant on a global basis. The global finance team works closely with business managers, local accounting groups, and consulting firms for affiliated offices around the world. Staff accountants serve as a critical component of the global team as they ensure the integrity of the financial data used in all reporting, including strategic planning efforts and ad-hoc financial analysis.
We are seeking a forward-thinking, hardworking Staff Accountant to join our global finance team. Under the mentorship of their manager, the individual will learn about the firm's global financial infrastructure, systems, and procedures. After an initial training period, they will begin to oversee all day-to-day financial transactions for a portfolio of international entities. Over time, the accountant will begin to handle the oversight process more independently, contacting their supervisor to answer questions that may surface.
