What you’ll do

As a Relationship Management Apprentice within our Commercial & Institutional - Commercial Mid Market Team, you will:

  • Liaise with customers and prospective customers, focusing on building sustainable, long-term relationships—always prioritizing the customer experience and delivering positive outcomes.
  • Conduct telephone meetings with customers, including service reviews and fraud/security checks. You may also attend face-to-face customer meetings occasionally.
  • Support the management of customer contact strategies through diary planning and appointment bookings for Relationship Managers.
  • Provide Relationship Managers with well-researched briefs and information for their customer meetings.
  • Contribute to risk management, ensuring compliance with the Bank's requirements.
  • Learn and understand the end-to-end lending process and support its management.

Your learning journey will include:

  • Building and strengthening customer relationships over the phone, resolving queries, and collaborating with various teams to meet customer needs.
  • Investigating and analyzing queries accurately, raising concerns internally and externally, and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Promoting digital services to encourage customer adoption of new channels.
