The Business Support Service is seeking to appoint a professional to lead our committed Additional Learning Needs Administrative Service (ALNAS), which provides administrative support to the Access & Inclusion Service.
The post requires line managing a dedicated team to effectively coordinate, prioritize, and support the delivery of statutory and non-statutory administrative services across the Inclusion Service.
The role involves supporting the planning, implementation, and delivery of key Local Authority strategic initiatives related to Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision. This includes supporting a review of the sufficiency of ALN provision within RCT to ensure that the needs of pupils with additional learning needs are met, as well as assisting in managing various service projects.
This position combines strategic development, leadership, management, and operational delivery functions. The post holder will contribute to fostering a positive, collaborative working ethos with other key professionals within the Access and Inclusion Service.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to supporting pupils with additional learning needs, and the ability to work flexibly. A passion for raising standards and improving outcomes for children and young people is essential. The ability to develop strong working relationships with headteachers, professionals, and parent/carers is also crucial.
Experience in effective leadership and management at a senior level is necessary, along with a proven track record of implementing positive change. Support from senior colleagues will be provided to help further improve and shape the Access & Inclusion Service to meet its priorities.
