CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team located in 3M Newton Aycliffe.

Purpose of the Job

To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on clients' HVAC, Chilled Water, and Compressed Air Systems in accordance with agreed service levels.

Responsibilities and daily activities:

1. Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all HVAC plant to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
2. Maintain Chilled Water Systems and Domestic Water Systems to comply with the L8 standard.
3. Promptly remedy plant faults and defects to keep plant in good working order.
4. Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on other site plant as required.
5. Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance tasks.
6. Keep comprehensive maintenance records up to date.
7. Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
8. Develop good working relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.
9. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
10. Present a professional image of CBRE Managed Services to clients and visitors, delivering excellent customer service.
11. Maintain professional and technical skills through personal development and lifelong learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• A good basic education, with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic Mathematics.
• Experience in maintaining Pumps, Motors, and Valves.
• Experience operating Chilled Water, compressed air, and domestic water systems.
• Understanding and experience of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities.
• Experience working on a client resident site (Desirable).
• Certification for Maintenance and Operation of F-Gas systems (Desirable).
• Formal training in mechanical services maintenance.
• Basic skills in building management systems (Advantageous).
• Formal health and safety training (Desirable).
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Calm demeanor, able to work under pressure.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Physical fitness to carry tools and components up to 20kg.
• Ability to work at heights and on roofs.
• Team player, able to collaborate with CBRE Managed Services and client staff of all levels.
