Corporate Tax Manager - Taunton

Clark Wood have been instructed on a Managerial level opportunity for a nationally recognised large regional firm in Taunton, which offers the chance to focus on interesting advisory work for a mixed portfolio of tax clients.

This role would ideally suit a CTA Qualified experienced Assistant Manager or current Manager from a small, mid-tier or large firm, who has experience managing a department and also a large complex portfolio of tax clients.

The main client base for this role would be SMEs & OMBs and some international groups in the Taunton and wider South West & Somerset region.

The ideal candidate must have good technical skills and experience, and have a thorough understanding of UK tax issues.

The team deals with a broad range of business and corporate tax issues, including:

1. Business reorganisations
2. Reconstructions and demergers
3. Share schemes and EIS/SEIS
4. R&D tax credits
5. Patent box claims
6. M&A
7. Exit planning and succession planning

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high level advisory & planning services with a great deal of autonomy;
2. Business development and networking: develop client services and grow tax portfolio;
3. Increase awareness & exposure of the firm's tax services.

This Taunton office is commutable from areas all across Somerset, Wellington, Tiverton, Bridgwater, Langport etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. CTA/ ACA Qualified
2. Proven track record of Business Development
3. Experience within an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager level role
