Job description

The University of St Andrews is on an ambitious trajectory for its research. Central to this, is the research services support our academics receive to undertake excellent research, impact and innovation. To support this ambition, the University is seeking a dynamic and creative Head of Research Culture. This is a new role at the University of St Andrews and the role-holder will provide professional services leadership in the development all aspects of research culture. As part of which they will need to establish a strategic delivery plan and identify the services required to action it.

The role-holder will employ their advanced understanding of research culture to guide the University and our research community, from academics to technicians to professional services, on the most effective interventions to drive a positive research culture. This will involve excellent collaboration and partnership expertise with effective guidance and coordination skills. Overall they will need to be able to demonstrate experience of combining strategy with practical delivery.

We are looking for an individual with significant experience and understanding of research culture, excellent communication skills and relevant experience preferably in universities.
