Job Description:

Sense has an exciting opportunity for an Early Intervention and Play Leader. This full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid setting, including working from home, the Touchbase Pears office, and out in the community in Birmingham.

The role focuses on supporting children with complex disabilities and their families, promoting development in communication, interaction, and play. Responsibilities include delivering pre-school sessions, developing activities and resources, and organizing family events to empower families and foster children's growth and happiness.

You will provide direct support to children aged 0-8 with complex disabilities and their families, working both individually and in groups, including facilitating online activities as part of our digital offerings.

We’re looking for applicants who have:

• A recognised qualification in playwork, diploma in childcare, NNEB, or an equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification, or substantial successful experience.
• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities in education, health, or social care settings.
• Proven experience in assessing and monitoring progress of children with disabilities, maintaining clear records.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• The ability to identify children and families in Birmingham and surrounding areas who may benefit from early intervention.
• Experience in providing online activities and resources for families.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and provide reports on outcomes and progress.
• Capability to advise families on their child's specific needs.
