Hygiene Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: Up to £58,000
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Nights)

We are proud to be working with a market-leading Food Manufacturing business based in Hull, who are seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Hygiene Manager to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the hygiene function within a highly respected food production site that supplies to major retailers. The business is continuing to grow and offers excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

The Role:
As Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the site maintains the highest hygiene standards, supporting food safety, product quality, and audit readiness. You will lead and develop the hygiene team on the night shift, driving a proactive hygiene culture across the factory.

Key Responsibilities of a Hygiene Manager:

  1. Lead and manage the hygiene team across the night shift, ensuring effective cleaning and hygiene practices are adhered to.
  2. Ensure the site remains fully compliant with all food safety and hygiene legislation, including BRC and customer standards.
  3. Plan and execute hygiene schedules to meet production and audit requirements.
  4. Conduct internal hygiene audits and work closely with technical and production teams to address non-conformances.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance hygiene standards and efficiencies across the site.
  6. Manage hygiene KPIs and report performance to senior leadership.

The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Proven experience as a Hygiene Manager or similar level within a food manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and BRC standards.
  3. Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team.
  4. Experience working night shifts within a fast-paced food production setting.
  5. A proactive approach with a passion for delivering high standards and continuous improvement.
