Telent's Network Services division is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

• Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
• Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities.
• Monitor and report on customer incidents.
• Highlight trends, security threats, and technical bulletins.
• Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
• Follow internal processes for tasks and reporting.
• Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval, and lab testing.
• Create technical documentation like TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
• Review engineering documentation.
• Pre-stage equipment for customer sites.
• Participate in customer meetings and support reviews.
• Ensure accurate timesheet submission.
• Obtain relevant certifications and complete expenses accurately.
• Adhere to GDPR and security policies.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate has an interest in Cloud technologies, basic Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your skill development. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in support environments, with On-premise Cloud Services experience being a plus.

• Desirable certifications include VCP 6.x-DCV and LPIC-2.
• Knowledge of networking, SQL Server, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, Exchange, VMware vCloud Director.
• Leadership qualities, trust-building, continuous improvement mindset, excellent communication skills, problem-solving passion, and teamwork ability.
