Profile Summary

The Business Change (BCA) team provides specialist project management support to all business functions in managing both business process, organisational and technology-led change. This team also encompasses a centralised EMEA PMO function and Portfolio governance oversight. ISD COO responsibilities include Business and IT Strategy Alignment, Customer Success Management, supporting the CIO in developing and delivering workforce strategy, including D&I and general HR engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Programme/Project Governance:

  • Responsible for co-ordination of monthly IT Investment Committee (IIC) process and production of materials in a timely manner following the monthly cycle
  • Complete ongoing quality reviews of budget request submissions & improving the quality of published power point decks
  • Engaging with multiple stakeholder groups involved throughout IIC process as required and capture and implement feedback where necessary to make improvements to the process.
  • Responsible for ensuring all IIC related activities pre and post IIC are completed following the monthly cycle in agreed timely manner.
  • Identifying and articulating potential improvement areas within the process that will result in time savings, quality improvements e.g. budget request process improvements, DQ improvements, enhancements to presentations and refining content of materials for EXCO consumption.
  • Presenting to and engaging with senior level Executives on IT Investment related content where required
  • Quality Assurance: Project and programme advisory; quality and post-implementation reviews and lessons learnt; metrics analysis
  • Reporting of the Project Portfolio, Project Status, Budget and Resource information where required
  • Submission of the applications for requesting IT Investment Budget to ED and HO
  • Ensure Project teams adhere with Mizuho Project Governance Methodology and Procedures.
  • Support the annual IT Projects Budgeting and Demand process where required
  • Line Management of a consultant who also supports the process

Communication:
  • Support wider team in stakeholder engagement helping to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
  • Work within a global organisation, across EMEA and with Head Office in Tokyo to collaborate on Governance approach and standards for programme/projects
  • Support facilitation and management of senior level meetings/workshops

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Relevant PMO or Project Management experience
  • Precise attention to detail and accuracy
  • IT Literacy essential, (Strong - Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills)
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies
  • Good understanding of project governance and change management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communicator with the desire to interact with stakeholders at peer and senior levels
  • Experience leading meetings and facilitating meetings
  • Experience of prioritising work to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience of project management tools - ServiceNow /Monday.com
  • Proven ability to work in high pressured environments.
  • A desire to gain an appreciation for Mizuho Bank EMEA strategic objectives and the role that MECS IT plays in achieving these
  • Customer focused with a service delivery mentality
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and technologies
