Job Title: Electrical Supervisor (Working)

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £43,000

An M&E Contractor based in Peterborough is looking for a Working Electrical Supervisor to join their team on a manned manufacturing site.

The role involves initially working alongside electricians to understand site and process knowledge, with development over time to support the Project Manager in ensuring smooth project delivery valued at up to £250,000, along with reactive day-to-day works.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to progress from Electrician / Electrical Engineer to a supervisory role, demonstrating expertise in technical support across installation projects and reactive works in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading teams of directly employed electricians, managing small to medium projects.
2. Organising materials and subcontractors.
3. Creating and delivering job pack information to engineers.
4. Creating risk assessments.
5. Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
6. Delivering toolbox talks.
7. Attending site meetings.
8. Allocating workload to meet customer deadlines while maintaining standards and quality.
9. Assisting the Project Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget.
10. Ensuring job completion, including snagging checks, recording test results, and passing documentation to the QS for processing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in the manufacturing/industrial industry.
• Current electrical engineering trade qualifications: 18th Edition, 2391 or equivalent, IPAF, PASMA, C&G - NVQ Level 3 & Gold Card.
• Supervision experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
