Job description

The Role

This post offers an exciting opportunity to enter the leisure industry. You will be responsible, as part of a team, for maintaining the smooth operation of the modern Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.

Your duties include supervising the swimming pool and flume, ensuring high standards of cleanliness through regular cleaning, and setting up equipment for various sporting activities across different rooms.

You will be the face of the Leisure Centre, joining an enthusiastic, passionate, and vibrant team. The role involves organizing school holiday events and children’s birthday parties, requiring confidence and outgoingness.

This is a temporary position until February 2026. The hours are 37 per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota, aligned with the centre's opening hours: 6:00am to 11:00pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 8:00pm on weekends. The role is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.

Candidates must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check. A swimming ability test will be part of the interview, with details available in the Job Description.
