Job description

Our client, a major player in Defence & Security, is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to work on the Qatar Hawk project. Based in Warton, this contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and functionality of military aircraft systems in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, improve, and maintain the Product Integrity - Airworthiness (AW) Capability Discipline, ensuring the Discipline has the necessary capabilities to meet its objectives.
  2. Ensure an effective Engineering Management System across Air for the design, development, and assurance of AW deliverables.
  3. Provide AW SME advice to Project and Product teams regarding capability requirements to deliver PI deliverables of the required quality, meeting Corporate and Legal standards.
Job Requirements
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject.
  • Typically 5-10 years of experience in aircraft design and development.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Confident in using engineering toolsets.
  • Good communication, supervisory, and team-working skills.
  • Knowledge of military and civil airworthiness regulatory environments.
  • Understanding of AW standards such as CS25 and CAP 722.
  • Previous experience with MoD / D&S is advantageous.
