We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Support Services Team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Witham, Essex. It is a hybrid role requiring at least two days a week in the office.

The Senior Pro Rata & Facultative Technician will manage and calculate pro-rata allocations for reinsurance contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards in areas such as Excess of Loss (XOL), Pro Rata (Quota Share or Treaty), and Facultative portfolios.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets, resolving issues and reviewing practices to improve efficiency.

Flexible working arrangements, including part-time and job share, are available.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing service operations within a client support team, ensuring governance and compliance.
• Supporting and guiding less experienced colleagues.
• Contributing to strategic objectives and leading initiatives to improve service delivery.
• Leading training sessions for CSS colleagues.
• Driving change and process improvement projects.
• Providing information for RFPs and sales opportunities.
• Leading team meetings to share ideas and solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience calculating and allocating pro-rata premiums and claims.
• Knowledge of reinsurance concepts, laws, and regulations (e.g., FCA).
• Successful client account and relationship management skills.
• Strong communication skills for complex interactions.
• Ability to work well in a team with attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and adaptability.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in finance, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of reinsurance, including treaty and facultative, proportional and non-proportional structures, and claims handling.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the London Market.
• Mentoring or training experience.
