Main Purpose of Job

We are seeking Warehouse Operative - Vaults to join our team in Wymondham, Norwich. You will be responsible for the security and operations of the vaults, including the security and traceability of cash containers (notes and coins) entering, within, and leaving the vault.

You will work within company procedures to ensure high-quality service and efficiency, adhering to stringent regulations in a highly controlled environment to meet customer needs effectively.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Operate receipt and dispatch functions, ensuring secure loading/unloading of CIT, ATM, and Trunker vehicles.
  • Conduct daily vault audits, investigate discrepancies, and report findings.
  • Maintain health and safety standards for all staff.
  • Control vehicle access to loading bays and branches.
  • Follow operational standing orders and complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with departments, branches, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Ensure security of cash, valuables, staff, and premises at all times.
  • Maintain 5S standards in the workspace.
  • Open and close vaults securely, including in emergencies.
  • Use computerized systems (Viper) for audit trails of cash/containers.
  • Prepare customer consignments for dispatch.
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment properly and undertake relevant training.
  • Manage security keys and monitor branch and vehicle holdings for insurance compliance.
  • Work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, adapting to operational needs.

This job description may evolve with operational changes and your expertise.

Pay starts at £14.87 per hour, increasing to £15.17 after 6 months, and £15.47 after 12 months (plus night allowance if applicable).

This is a part-time role.
