Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is excited to be offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse: Transitions Service/ Young People’s Team.
This post seeks to enhance the current provision for all children and young people, who as a result of their mental health, require specialist assessment and treatment. You will join an established service whose aim is to provide effective and timely community assessments and therapeutic interventions.
You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on a one to one and group basis to young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holder will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings and demonstrate knowledge and experience of Adult Mental Health Services. The post holder should be able to demonstrate experience of working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or care system.

Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed along with the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with a significant length of post registration experience working therapeutically with adolescents who have severe and complex mental health problems.
Applicants will be able to respond to the needs of the service and the locality which will include the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
