Job description

We're on the lookout for a Finance Business Partner (Operations) to help our production/warehousing managers make smart, informed decisions that drive profitability and keep things running smoothly.


What you'll be doing:

  1. Partnering with Operations: Work closely with stakeholders to analyse costs, challenge costings, and monitor trends. You'll be their go-to person for all things finance!
  2. Shaping Decisions: Develop clear, user-friendly financial reports and coach colleagues to boost their financial know-how.
  3. Keeping Projects on Track: Oversee costs, spot risks and opportunities, and ensure budgets stay on target.
  4. Support Operations leadership in developing budgets and forecasts.
  5. Month-End processes: Lead month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
  6. Driving Improvements: Continuously enhance management information, systems, and processes to keep us to be the best that we can be.
  7. Lead and manage the standard costing process, system and reporting to help our Factory leadership understand and improve performance and explain reasons for variances to expectations.
  8. Lead and manage the inventory valuation and reporting process, system and reporting including provisions.
  9. Manage 1 team member, working together to improve team processes, systems and performance.

What we're looking for:

  1. Qualified CIMA or equivalent.
  2. Manufacturing experience: experience of standard costing systems, processes and reporting.
  3. Experience of Distribution Centre's and key drivers of performance preferred but not essential.
  4. Solid experience in management accounting and month-end processes.
  5. A keen eye for detail and enjoy unravelling complex data.
  6. Pretty much an expert with Excel.
  7. Clear communicator who can use non-finance speak to support and guide operational stakeholders.
  8. A real team player who is able to build trusting relationships.
  9. Not afraid to challenge to promote positive change.
