An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative nurse to join NHS Fife’s Community Cardiac Specialist Nurse Team as a Cardiac Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Cardiac CNS Service operates Monday to Friday during business hours. We provide holistic and evidenced-based specialist care to people diagnosed with various cardiac conditions in Fife. We have two bases: Stratheden Hospital and Lynebank Hospital. You will be based at Stratheden but will work across Fife as required. You will participate in the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the service, thereby improving the management, treatment, and support of patients with cardiac conditions, and their carers/families. The service aims to support self-management, improve quality of life, and reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and re-admissions. The service provides seamless care between primary care and acute care settings.

You will require excellent communication skills and be able to work as a member of the wider Health and Social Care Team with the ability to work autonomously, utilizing your own initiative, clinical judgement, and decision-making.
As this is a Fife-wide community post, you will be required to reliably and efficiently travel across various sites, bases, and patient homes across Fife as needed.

Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate, dependent on the duration of the training period (see terms and conditions).
