Job Title: GCSE Science Lecturer - 16-25 High Functioning SEND

Salary: £25ph - £40ph

This lovely and unique college is looking for a supportive and motivated Science Lecturer on a permanent contract. To support students with mainly Biology and Chemistry, the right candidate will have experience with SEND and possess the right approach to make a real difference in these young people's lives. The successful candidate will have experience working in an SEN care environment and will go above and beyond to get the best out of the students. The role will directly impact students' pass rates, enabling them to move into full-time employment or higher education.

Support students with learning difficulties and disabilities to become empowered so that they can fully access the curriculum and successfully achieve their programme of study through developing greater independence.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Science. Great industry experience and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable.
• Be committed to raising student achievement and promoting a love of science
• Bring energy, creativity, and a collaborative approach to the role
• Have knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs
• Be able to plan and prepare educational activities to meet specific needs and review their effectiveness
• Communicate clearly, accurately, and promptly at all levels, both verbally and in writing
