Do you want to be part of a talented and expanding Business Intelligence team building innovative analytics products that help to inform and empower our decision makers? As a BI Analyst, you will support the team in extracting knowledge for our clinical and operational teams, hungry for analytics to optimise clinical care and performance, and for our vibrant research community. You will support our organisation in meeting its statutory reporting responsibilities, delivering key reporting to external partners and national bodies.
You will join a group of approximately 20 Business Intelligence Analysts and engineers, with opportunities to develop your skills in multiple BI-related areas covering up to 40 clinical specialties, including Regional specialist services across Medicine, Surgery, Women and Children’s services, and Diagnostics. As part of the expanding team, you'll have the chance to develop skills in analysing and reporting on large, complex data sets and delivering visualisations using various tools; utilising data from our Electronic Patient Record system. Additionally, you will have opportunities to build skills in cloud-based technologies and languages such as Python or R.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Business Intelligence. You will gain a thorough understanding of NHS data, how to process data, and how to report to various audiences. You will receive extensive training to build your technical skills, including SQL, ETL Processing (SSIS and SSAS), and data visualisation tools. Over time, you will develop the ability to analyse and report on large data sets, delivering insights through visualisation and reporting tools. Your main duties will include:
