To be employed in this role:

• You must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
• You must have at least 6 months continuous employment within the Pharmacy industry (hospital & community).
• You will have an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route.

Our stores operate 24/7, offering flexible shift patterns. Weekend work is a requirement, and flexibility with your work pattern may be needed.

As a Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant (ACDA), you will:

• Check the accuracy of dispensed medicines, verify patient details, medication type, dosage, labelling, and packaging.
• Report medication errors or incidents promptly.
• Conduct final accuracy checks of items clinically checked by a Pharmacist.
• Perform regular audits of the dispensary and stock levels.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants to ensure proper dispensing procedures.
• Maintain documentation and records of all tasks.
• Guide and train pharmacy staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support the Pharmacist with patient services and record-keeping.
• Promote awareness of pharmacy services.

You will develop an understanding of our Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to them.
