Located in Hastings, the successful apprentice will work with experts to develop skills in the material testing sector, ideal for those interested in science seeking a non-traditional lab role.
The Package
Under supervision, conduct testing on raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing to replicate lab results on the production line and resolve issues.
This apprenticeship offers real-world experience while studying for a qualification, with support throughout your journey, leading to potential full-time employment and further qualifications like BSc in Applied Bioscience or Chemical Science.
We value attitude and aptitude over formal qualifications. Enthusiasm, honesty about your skills, consideration, self-reflection, and eagerness to learn are key. You should be meticulous, quick learner, capable of following instructions, and prepared for challenges, ensuring safety and standards are maintained.
Applicants must be 18+, able to commute within 45 minutes, and eligible to work in the UK.
Over 21 months, spend at least 6 hours weekly on training, combining theory and practical work, earning a salary while gaining a Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification. Training includes virtual lessons, shadowing, mentoring, and assignments, with expert tutors and mentors guiding you.
Eligibility criteria include being over 18, not in full-time education, UK residency for 3 years, and right to work in the UK. If you don’t meet these yet, express interest, and we’ll discuss further.
