Location: Home Based with occasional London Office days

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

As a Senior Portfolio Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting records for a portfolio of property heat network accounts. You will also mentor offshore team members and act as a day-to-day contact for them.

• Significant experience in an accounting role with a recognized qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounting records, preferably within property sector.
• Preparation of year-end heat network accounts, including cost re-allocation.
• Review work of offshore or junior team members and manage project plans.
• Prepare Income and Expenditure Accounts and Balance Sheets.
• Manage the audit process.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and heat network legislation.
• Manage surplus and deficit charges on lessee accounts.
• Awareness of OPSS requirements for Heat Networks.
• Assist Property Managers with financial queries and projects.
• Build relationships with billing agents, suppliers, and other contacts for tariff reviews, debt collection, and accounts prep.
• Collaborate with the Heat Network Manager to implement improvements and share knowledge.
