Job Title: Night Shift Operations Manager

Salary: £35,875

Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 6pm - 6am

Location: Gatwick Airport

NOTE: This role will be based at the Recycling Centre with Gatwick Airport. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security/background check.

About the Role

We are seeking a Shift Operations Manager to play an integral role in delivering first-class service and achieving excellent results.

Responsibilities

1. Implement actions to reduce or eliminate health and safety risks.
2. Manage the Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program daily to ensure adherence to safety practices.
3. Report, investigate, and respond to incidents and non-compliance issues.
4. Ensure corrective actions are implemented.
5. Oversee drivers' compliance with procedures and defect reporting.
6. Communicate policies and monitor their implementation.
7. Support safety arrangements and best practices across the site.
8. Manage daily performance, KPIs, and customer satisfaction metrics.
9. Communicate expectations clearly to the team, including new hires.
10. Assist in resource planning, scheduling, and performance management.
11. Identify training needs and escalate gaps.
12. Participate in operational reviews and team briefings.
13. Monitor attendance, update planning tools, and manage deviations.
14. Conduct performance reviews and coaching.
15. Review and improve SOPs and work instructions.
16. Ensure proper training and onboarding for colleagues.
