Job description

We are looking for a Cover Teacher to work across multiple secondary schools in Tameside, delivering lessons in the absence of subject teachers. This role is suitable for experienced teachers who enjoy variety and are confident leading lessons in multiple subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering high-quality lessons across different subject areas in KS3 and KS4
  2. Engaging students in learning and adapting to different class needs
  3. Following school policies on behaviour management and reporting any concerns
  4. Providing feedback to subject teachers and school leadership where necessary
  5. Building strong relationships with students and staff across multiple schools

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or substantial classroom experience
  2. Ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects
  3. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  4. Adaptability and confidence in working with different year groups
  5. A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
