On behalf of Rolls Royce, Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting a Fitter to work at the Rolls Royce site in Derby.

Looking for experience with traditional hand skills such as flattening, straightening, fettling, and intricate grinding.

Role details:

• Role title: Fitter
• Contract duration: 12 months
• Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella – INSIDE IR35
• Hours: 37 hours, split between nights, afternoons, and days (overtime achievable)
• Location: Rolls Royce (Raynesway)

Key accountabilities will include:

• Working to technical drawings in both ISO and ASME formats to deliver high-quality, conforming parts
• Using a range of traditional hand skills including flattening, straightening, fettling, and intricate grinding
• Applying inspection techniques to assess and verify parts against manufacturing drawings
• Utilizing engineering knowledge to seek solutions and improve processes
• Working to a time-sensitive plan to meet business needs
