Service Users: Pupils aged 7-19 with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties

About the School

Be part of the exciting development and opening of Compass Community School Redwood Park, a brand-new 90-place independent day school in Milton Keynes, opening in September 2025. Our school provides specialist education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

As a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support, ensuring our children receive the best care and education possible.

Who We Are Looking For

We need dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants who can support children with complex and challenging behaviours. No two days are the same, so flexibility, patience, and strong communication skills are key!

Our Teaching Assistants will:

  1. Support teaching and learning in the classroom
  2. Work 1:1 or with small groups of students
  3. Assist in managing classroom resources
  4. Accompany children on educational trips and visits
  5. Support children during lunch and social activities
  6. Help create engaging displays to enhance learning environments
  7. Provide strong behaviour management support
  8. Develop pupils’ social and life skills through play and structured activities
  9. Participate in therapeutic training and reflection to enhance support for pupils
