Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4-9 or equivalent required.
  • Educated to Level 3 in a related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Description

The post holder will support adult learners at Bath College in their progression pathways by understanding their motivation for engagement with the college, coordinating and tracking work experience and placements, and monitoring progression into further education or employment. The role involves engaging with adult learners across various provision types, including Tailored and Community Learning, Part-Time Qualifications, ESOL, English & Maths, Skills Bootcamps, and Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Local intelligence gathering: Engage with disadvantaged communities to identify their learning and skills needs, barriers, and suitable support or curriculum options.
  • Active engagement and progression support: Work directly with residents from disadvantaged backgrounds to encourage their participation in learning and support their progression into positive destinations.
  • Track and monitor learner progress: Keep accurate records of learner participation in work experience and placement programs, regularly review progress, and address barriers.
