The Role

• Ensure the working status of the pipeline main line equipment during the project execution and during project preparation, installation, and start-up. The Offshore Project Welding Equipment Technician will work under the supervision of the Welding Foreman, following the guidance of the chief engineer / chief electrician, and remains the technical reference for all pipeline production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute activities within your responsibility on all pipeline technologies equipment, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
  2. Perform electrical/mechanical works according to safety and quality standards.
  3. Perform electrical connections for equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, cabinets, and other electrical apparatus.
  4. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure proper installation and connection of equipment.
  5. Verify equipment and materials are in good condition and report anomalies; ensure proper storage and compatibility of spare parts.
  6. Test electrical systems and circuits for integrity and safety using testing devices like multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes.
  7. Coordinate with team members to maintain a safe working environment, especially during simultaneous operations.
  8. Provide regular maintenance and repair of pipeline technologies equipment.
  9. Install and connect electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment as per project scope.
  10. Perform mechanical and electrical repairs that do not require third-party assistance.
  11. Carry out refurbishment operations on equipment as needed.
  12. Follow permit-to-work procedures and ensure maintenance is performed as scheduled and reported accurately.
  13. Implement modifications in line with plans and report them properly.
  14. Participate in continuous monitoring and suggest upgrades to improve efficiency, functionality, and safety.
  15. Complete all tasks respecting HSE policies and standards.
  16. Ensure proper preservation of equipment during long standby periods to maintain readiness.
  17. Adhere to company procedures and regulations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Offshore experience.
  • Experience with IMPP, IMPU, Heat, and Coat processes and equipment.
  • Ability to monitor coating equipment during project phases.
  • Knowledge of electrical hazards, PPE, and Lockout-tag out procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
