Our client based in Southend on Sea, Essex, provides insurance solutions and claims management for gadgets and high-value goods to both consumer and business markets. They employ around 20 people and have been established for over 10 years and are now looking to expand their team by adding a Financial Analyst.
This is a brand new role released due to expansion plans. The role of the Financial Analyst will be to assist growth through analysing existing company metrics and future channels and product launches and provide insightful and evidence-based information to the board for decision-making purposes.
The successful Financial Analyst will:
Produce weekly KPI reports
Review commercial performance
Build budget models with key drivers
Update cost per acquisition allowable
Monitor key trends in the behaviour of policies by cohort and communicate observations
Conduct claims analysis, understanding trends and drivers that affect claims ratios
Forecast expected performance based on previous data and extrapolation
Understand systems and suggest systems improvements to obtain relevant information
Perform various reconciliations, including marketing costs, movements in the customer base and premiums
The successful Financial Analyst will have:
Advanced MS Office skills
Excellent attention to detail
Presentation skills to board level
Ability to perform tasks with a sense of urgency and dedication
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or similar
