Job description

Company Description

We are looking for Care Assistants available in the community of Folkestone and Hythe, Kent, for mornings, evenings, and weekends, with Guaranteed Hours Contracts available.

Are you someone who lights up a room with a smile? Do you have a caring heart and hands ready to make a difference in someone’s day, from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you say goodbye?

At Home Instead, we’re looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who not only provide companionship but also offer essential personal care to our clients, ensuring they live comfortably and with dignity.

Job Description

Do you have the skills to be an amazing Care Assistant?

Each day will be different, and you’ll need to think on your feet—whether it’s helping a client with mobility, assisting them with daily routines like bathing and dressing, or simply sitting down to enjoy a cup of tea together.

You will need a listening ear, ready to hear incredible life stories, and sometimes, offering a simple chat to brighten our clients’ day. You might also need to keep track of medication or help a client find their glasses, providing an extra pair of eyes when needed.

You don’t need to be a Michelin star chef, but if you can make a cup of tea and help prepare a light meal, you’re just who we need. You might also be called upon to help with light housekeeping or organizing their home to ensure it’s safe and comfortable.

As one of our Care Assistants, you will directly benefit from:

  • Guaranteed hours contract (10 to 25 hours)
  • Competitive pay of £13.75 to £15.00 per hour
  • Mileage payment of 35p per mile
  • Fully paid training programme
  • Care Certificate qualification
  • Pension
  • Birthday gift
  • Annual appraisal gift
  • Annual company party
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discounts on high street brands through our benefit programme
  • Career development opportunities
  • Minimum 1-hour calls
