We are looking for a creative and ‘in the know’ talented SEO Manager (Ecom) to work with our top record-breaking magazine websites. From millennials to fashionistas and pop culture enthusiasts, you will be able to help shape content strategy each day.

We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Country Living. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working directly with our SEO team, affiliate team, and editors, you’ll get a front-row view of the latest trends, hottest new product reviews, forward-thinking thought leaders, celebrity, political, and entertainment topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the SEO director in planning and implementing SEO strategy across all brand websites.
  2. Mentor, develop, and manage junior team members.
  3. Develop and facilitate the implementation of our SEO strategy internationally.
  4. Anticipate and plan for technological and behavioral changes in buying patterns and how it relates to search.
  5. Implement the SEO content strategy for sites that seamlessly integrate into their editorial calendar and tone of voice, including inputting keyword ideas that drive affiliate revenue, identifying competitor content and keyword gaps, spotting emerging trends, seasonal opportunities, and innovative takes on trending topics.
  6. Optimize content regularly and work with commercial, affiliate, and central affiliate editors to strategize around tentpole events such as Black Friday and Prime Day.
  7. Work directly in our CMS (Content Management System) to update content, meta titles and descriptions, URLs, optimize internal linking, and create aggregated content pages.
  8. Analyze monthly reports, Google Analytics data, and communicate wins and learnings; conduct deep dive analyses to inform further strategy decisions.
  9. Stay updated on all things Search, test new product features, and ensure compliance with algorithm updates.
  10. Communicate effectively and proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
  • Experience working in an affiliate-focused business.
  • Currently in a primarily SEO-focused role.
  • Knowledge of on-page ranking factors.
  • Extensive keyword research experience.
  • Understanding of seasonal keyword changes.
  • Experience recommending and creating search-specific content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
  • A commercial mindset focused on driving revenue.
  • A passion to stay current on SEO trends and tools.
  • Experience with Google Search Console.
  • Experience working with an enterprise-level CMS.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics.
  • Willingness to develop knowledge of SEO tools and Excel.
  • Affiliate and/or e-commerce experience.
