Job Description:

A packaging manufacturer just outside of the Bradford area is looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns.

This is a fantastic opportunity with a historically family-run company where you will be valued and welcomed into the team. The maintenance department currently operates on a Panama shift (Days only) from 6am to 6pm.

Role: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £51,000 - £52,000

Shift: Panama shift pattern (Days only, 6am-6pm)

Key responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across plant and production equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with machine upgrades and installations.
• Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and quick response to breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company’s CMMS system.
• Adhere to health & safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain high operational standards.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience in maintenance engineering within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or packaging sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find using PLCs.
• Willingness to work shifts.
• 18th Edition Electrical Certification preferred.
