Job Title and Role: Transport Controller

• Salary: £30,000.00 depending on experience
• Location: Haddenham, Buckinghamshire
• Working Hours: 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturday morning overtime)
• Holidays: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays

Job Description

This role is responsible for the efficient and safe running of the day-to-day transport operation with a focus on Pallet Distribution and Full Load distribution. It reports directly to the Transport Team Leader - System Load.

The role ensures that deliveries via the Pallet Track Network meet high standards and KPI obligations. It also oversees the smooth operation of our daily Full Load business and fleet optimization.

Responsibilities include managing the Driving Team to ensure compliance with planning expectations, addressing underperformance, and working with management to resolve issues. The role also involves monitoring driver hours, vehicle defects, and infringements to ensure compliance with local regulations, with support from the Management Team, System Distribution/System Load Team Leader, and the National Compliance Manager.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient operation, using their initiative and data analysis to identify and implement process improvements. Customer service is also a key focus to maintain quality and service levels while seeking efficiencies, supported by the Management Team.

Strong administrative skills and confidence in communicating with customers and drivers are essential for this role.
