I am delighted to be working with our fantastic client who is looking to hire a Trainee IT Product Support Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare equipment and software for rental/sale: Test PC hardware, peripherals, and software in accordance with company procedures. Keep documented records for traceability and efficient process flow.
2. Product Testing: Assist the software development team in testing and evaluating new applications, bug fixes, or interfaces as required.
3. Customer Support and Training: As skills develop, provide support via phone and email, participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, and assist with customer training at later stages.
4. Develop and Maintain Manuals and User Guides: Review and update user manuals and product/interface guides; may involve writing instructions and specifications.
5. Use of Third-Party Software Systems: Manage stock control and order processing software for tracking goods-in and goods-out, preparation, dispatch, and material control.
6. Assist with Mobilisations and Vessel Visits: Support offshore clients in mobilising software and hardware systems onboard vessels.

You should have at least a degree in IT; however, any IT experience is beneficial and will strengthen your application.
