Job Description:

Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Support Engineer with AVASK, a business specializing in VAT and Compliance for online international trade.

Role Summary:

AVASK is looking for a bright, outgoing IT enthusiast to provide first line helpdesk support to internal staff ranging from the UK, USA, and China.

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Providing 1st line technical support, answering support queries via phone, service desk, and in person.
  • Supporting users remotely.
  • Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support.
  • Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues.
  • Logging all calls on the call logging system and keeping call logs up to date.
  • Escalating more complex calls to the relevant IT Support member.
  • Configuring hardware as required.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.

Skills Required:

  • Good communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
  • Willingness to research issues and fixes.
  • Flexible and proactive approach.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline.

  • Ability to deal with staff in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
