What You’ll Be Doing

Martin-Baker is the world’s leading manufacturer of ejection seats, helping to protect aircrew in the world’s most advanced military aircraft. Our mission is simple - to save aircrew lives.

Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative in the Manufacturing department at the Denham site. The role involves undertaking various processes including:

  • Fabricating and assembling seat pan chassis and parachute container assemblies,
  • Conducting bench fitting and build of detailed assemblies,
  • Carrying out heat treatments (annealing and age hardening) of components to defined specifications,
  • Performing Injection Moulding,
  • Packing, bonding, and room temperature vulcanising, sealing of box bridle line assemblies,
  • Producing seat backrest and sitting platform assemblies,
  • Fitting hardware and furniture using aerospace fasteners, adhesives, and Velcro,
  • Utilising Royalite plastic sheet and vacuum forming techniques to produce head pad assemblies,
  • Performing small-scale gluing work on various plastics, including bonding memory foam, carbon fibre wafers, webbing, and other materials,
  • Inspecting and testing products to meet tolerances and technical specifications using gauges and automated inspection equipment,
  • Inspecting first-offs and finished articles in accordance with company standards and procedures.
