About this Role

The CDL Driver will operate any light/heavy CDL required vehicle for site work, pipeline, or excavation projects. Most projects will be along the Wasatch Front in Utah.

What You'll Do

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Transports tools and other construction material to and from construction sites.
2. Inspects, lubricates, and fuels equipment before the beginning shift.
3. Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned.
5. Must be able to work some weekends and at nights, when needed.
6. Ability to travel out of town during the week and weekends.
7. Ability to handle and legally transport materials.
8. Will safely perform work and follow safety guidelines.
9. Participates in daily safety briefings and meetings.
10. Performs any minor skilled job on the project.
11. Punctuality at the beginning of shift assigned job site location.
12. Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
13. Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
14. Ability to haul and transport equipment & material.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Knowledge of assigned vehicle operation and capabilities.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Must have completed OSHA 10 safety training.
4. Ability to self-start tasks without supervisor direction.
5. Must be 21 years of age.
6. Must have a valid medical card, “Class A or Class B– CDL” license, and clean driving record.
7. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
8. Ability to load, unload, transport and secure materials and equipment.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Prolonged periods of operating light/heavy vehicles.
2. Must be able to operate vehicles in all weather conditions and terrains.
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
4. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the jobsite.
5. Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
