Job description

This busy family is looking for a rota nanny to look after their 4 children ages 9, 7, 5 & almost 1.

Highlights

  • Start: ASAP (by January 2025)
  • Location: Kensington, London
  • Working Hours: 7am-7:30/8pm 1 week on/1 week off
  • Salary: DOE

Overview

The ideal person will be organised, proactive and happy to work as part of a team.

In the mornings, mum does the school run, so your focus will be on the baby, taking him to his morning class, doing lunch, and settling him for his afternoon nap. Mum then takes him when she picks the older children up from school.

Afternoons are spent overseeing homework, taking the older children to their clubs and play dates, and doing any child-related admin before the evening routine starts.

The older two are fairly independent, but may just need the odd bit of reminding of what they need to bring to school or prompting to get ready for bed. The younger two have a stricter evening routine and are in bed by 7pm.

The family travels extensively during school holidays including ski trips in the winter and spending the summer in the USA. You share a bedroom with the children when travelling. The rota may change depending on the length of trips, however it'll only extend to 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

It is a fully staffed household with a housekeeper and driver.

A driver is not required, but would be a bonus if you are confident driving in the USA.

No nursery duties are required, but you'll make sure the playroom is tidy and you have cleaned after any messy activities.

The family has a small hypoallergenic dog.

Duties included but not limited to:

  • Getting the children ready for school
  • Taking the little one to morning classes and activities
  • Overseeing schoolwork, tutors and liaising with the schools
  • Wardrobe organisation and packing for travel
  • Liaising with the housekeeper, tutors and driver
  • Travelling with the family and arranging activities for each location

Benefits

  • No driver required
  • Bedroom & bathroom for use on duty
  • Can be a daily rota if preferred
