Job Description

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will be responsible for working with the senior England and Great Britain teams.

The priorities for the role are:

1. To work with the Head Coach on the selection, preparation, coaching, and performance of the England and Great Britain teams.
2. To support the delivery of a high-performance culture that underpins systemic success.
3. To ensure an exceptional level of on and off-pitch delivery.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Coaching

• Design, deliver, and review pitch sessions for the England and Great Britain national Squads, both through the central programme at Bisham Abbey and during travel for matches/competitions, as directed by the Head Coach.
• Provide high-level tactical analysis of opposition and own team in real-time during matches, prior to matches/tournaments, and during review sessions, using appropriate technology (e.g., Sportscode).

Planning and monitoring

• Support the Head Coach in developing annual performance plans for the teams and individual athletes.
• Monitor and evaluate athlete performance, storing relevant data to meet standards and maximize potential.
• Collaborate with support staff to monitor and develop athletes.

Administration

• Commit to equal opportunities and equity in employment.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.

Other duties

• Assist in promotional activities for England and Great Britain teams.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Head Coach or Performance Director.
