Local Government is dedicated to enhancing the quality of services we provide to our community by developing a more streamlined and consistent approach to Information Governance. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Information Governance Lead to join our team. This unique opportunity allows you to work at a national level, shaping a cohesive approach to Information Governance across Local Government.

Your leadership will be vital in ensuring information is shared effectively, data is utilised efficiently, and duplication across the system is minimised. You will have extensive experience in Information Governance along with a strong understanding of data protection laws and best practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for using data to enhance service delivery.

In this role, you will collaborate with various business areas, particularly focusing on the integration of health and social care services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a federated approach to Information Governance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability in data management.
