Job description

HGV Technician with a modern workshop in Newtownabbey, strong pay rates, overtime 1.5 and MOT bonus giving you high earning potential.

Market leading salary in £43 - 48k range.

Monday to Friday hours, with options for day shift and night shift.

29 days holiday increasing with service, MOT bonus, overtime rates, company pension and healthcare scheme.

Suitable candidates will need to be Level 3 qualified in Light OR Heavy Vehicle Repair, with mechanical experience on commercial vehicles/ HGV's.

You will be joining a large, modern workshop environment using up to date diagnostics, good facilities and working with an experienced team of Mechanics.

The Role:
  1. Provide high quality standard of service and repair to a range of HGV's.
  2. Carry out mechanical repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles and HGV's, including electrical repairs and diagnostic fault finding.
  3. Rectify faults on a "right first time" approach.
  4. Work in line with health and safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
  5. Complete relevant paperwork and vehicle repair information.
  6. Communicate technical information to customers when required.
What we are looking for:
  1. Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair (HGV, Light Vehicle or Plant).
  2. Mechanical experience on HGV's & Commercial Vehicles in a workshop setting.
  3. Good technical knowledge and diagnostic fault finding.
  4. Able to plan and organise your daily workload.
  5. Can work to high quality and efficiently.
