An exciting job role has recently become available at the South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for an Adult Learning Disabilities Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex cases involving multiple social or health needs and intricate care arrangements.
  • Work with individuals in crisis, making urgent support arrangements and decisions regarding mental capacity and the Mental Health Act.
  • Support community-based treatment and arrange effective discharge pathways, fostering community connections, housing, and discharge plans.
  • Conduct Safeguarding Adults Enquiries and contribute to the improvement of Adult and Integrated Care Services.
  • Engage in peer support, attend relevant training and development activities, and maintain up-to-date knowledge for registration.
  • Participate in reflective supervision and appraisal through Employee Performance Management.
  • Provide day-to-day support to less experienced staff.
