Talent Acquisition Advisor

Dundee - Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

About the role

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our Talent Acquisition team, helping us attract, recruit and retain the very best people across our firm. You’ll work closely with hiring managers across legal and business services teams to manage end-to-end recruitment and shape a positive, engaging candidate experience. It’s about:

  • End to end recruitment - Owning the full recruitment lifecycle, from job brief to offer, to ensure a smooth and professional experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
  • Stakeholder support - Building strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide expert recruitment advice.
  • Sourcing talent - Proactively identifying and engaging candidates through a mix of advertising, networking, and outreach, always with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Interviewing and assessment - Screening and interviewing candidates, making sure they align with the role, team, and firm values.
  • Offer and onboarding - Managing offer negotiations, preparing contracts, and ensuring new hires have a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Employer brand - Representing Thorntons at events and supporting employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Data and reporting - Tracking recruitment activity and sharing insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Driving inclusion - Playing an active role in our Diversity & Inclusion strategy, helping us build an inclusive recruitment process and workplace.

What you'll need

We're looking for:

  • Experience in recruitment/talent acquisition is ideal, but we are also open to hearing from candidates with excellent customer service or administration experience and a genuine interest in Talent Acquisition.
  • A passion for providing a great candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple roles at once.
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices, from sourcing techniques to interview planning.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills—you’ll be confident working with people at all levels.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach—you enjoy being part of a team and driving things forward.
  • Flexibility to travel to other offices for collaboration and events.
  • A genuine interest in helping people thrive and supporting the growth of a business.
