Job description

Social Work Team Manager
Team: MASH
Location: Barnsley
Rate: £40 – Hybrid 3 days a week

PLEASE NOTE – WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS A MINIMUM OF 18 MONTHS EXPERIENCE OF MANAGING A MASH/INTEGRATED FRONT DOOR TEAM, AND WILL NOT SHORTLIST CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THIS MINIMUM EXPECTATION

We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our Integrated Front Door to provide cover for a vacancy pending permanent recruitment.

Significant previous experience of working within a Screening/MASH Service at Team Manager level is essential. Candidates will have a clear understanding of thresholds of need and a proven track record of engaging multi-agency partners to secure positive and timely screening outcomes for children.

It is essential that candidates are able to work at pace and juggle high level and competing demands to ensure timely throughput of work, whilst maintaining high practice standards.

A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures and associated legislation is essential and there is an expectation that the Team Manager will chair Strategy Meetings and undertake the role of Agency Decision Maker. It is preferable for candidates to have worked within the Signs of Safety Model previously and to have previous experience of using Mosaic.

There are 3 Team Managers in the Integrated Front Door who work closely together to ensure the Front Door operates effectively. Each manager supervises up to 5 Social Workers, and the successful candidate will be committed to promoting professional development opportunities.

Hybrid working arrangements are in place; however, the successful candidate must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

As the team is based within Wombwell Police Station, the successful candidate will be required to undergo vetting by SYP.
