We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an entry-level and receive world-class training to develop your career.

About You

Training and Working Pattern

12 weeks of full-time training on Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00, with flexibility to move to assigned shift times after 2-3 weeks. Shift pattern includes Monday - Friday, 15:00 to 23:00, with 1 in 4 weekends.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) through decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Check, wash, lay up, and pack sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within quality standards.
  • Operate and monitor machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, sterilizers) safely and effectively.
  • Record and log repairs, missing instruments, or equipment on the Tracking and Traceability system (SynergyTrak).
  • Return repaired instruments or equipment to stock or the appropriate sets or personnel.

Annual salary of £24,169 plus a 5% performance bonus, with shift allowances for overtime/unsociable hours, and a higher cost of living allowance if working in London.

Access to a Level 2 Healthcare Science Assistant Apprenticeship, a 12-15 month fully funded program studying scientific practices for healthcare professionals, with 20% of working hours dedicated to study. Further apprenticeships are available throughout your career.
