Senior Manager, Finance Transformation, Business Consulting, Belfast or Derry/Londonderry

Location: Northern Ireland

The opportunity

EY is expanding its Consulting practice in Ireland and we are seeking to recruit for a key leadership position in our Business Consulting Finance (BC Finance) team.

Our BC Finance team assists clients in building Finance functions that are business-focused, cost-effective, and agile to meet stakeholder needs. We develop and enhance Global Business Services solutions to deliver standardised, end-to-end processes across multi-disciplinary support functions.

Key to many of our Finance Transformation engagements is the identification, evaluation, and deployment of the right technology, including cyber security, analytics, RPA, and digital technologies.

We are seeking an experienced consulting professional to drive the growth of our Finance Transformation services in Ireland, develop a portfolio of business through valued client relationships, and grow an EY team with specialised skills in this area.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks, including internal relationships across EY practices.
2. Lead business development and client pursuit efforts, leveraging market insights and past success in winning new business.
3. Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Finance, staying updated on emerging trends such as Business Analytics, RPA, and Managed Services.
4. Lead delivery of client engagements, managing diverse teams, ensuring high-quality work within time and budget, monitoring progress, managing risks, and setting client expectations.
5. Demonstrate expertise in Finance operations, processes, operating models, and technologies.
6. Foster an innovative, inclusive team environment, mentoring junior consultants.
7. Quickly assimilate new knowledge and demonstrate good business acumen.

To qualify for the role

1. Significant relevant experience in consulting, Finance Reporting (VPM), and Finance Process & Automation.
2. Qualifications such as MBA, ACCA/ACA/CIMA, PMP, or Prince2.
3. Strong market focus with ability to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and shape proposals.
4. Experience managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite, with strategic Finance and IT relationships.
5. Experience across the entire lifecycle of Transformation projects.
6. Excellent Technology knowledge, current trends, and Finance functional understanding.
7. Forward-thinking, self-motivated, adaptable to new challenges.
8. Ability to work collaboratively and manage a team of junior professionals.
