Job description

We require experienced Consultants to join a small, dynamic environmental and sustainability practice on projects throughout the UK, primarily in the rail, public infrastructure, and construction sectors.

The positions are home-based, with trips to site when necessary. There is an immediate need for Consultants for important water-related consenting and permitting discharge issues on HS2, with office/site work scheduled for two days per week initially.

Our goal is to ensure water quality remains unaffected and that construction does not add further stress to the environment or compromise public water supply security. You will work under the guidance and requirements of organizations such as the Environment Agency, Local Authorities, and Water Companies.

Essential qualities/experience include:
  1. Experience of obtaining Environmental Consents
  2. Effective communication with relevant CGB
  3. Knowledge of environmental contamination, hydrogeological, hydrology, and flood risk considerations
  4. Awareness and understanding of current Environmental legislation
  5. Experience managing the Environmental Consents process on major development schemes or infrastructure projects
  6. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
  7. Proven record of effectively managing environmental aspects of major projects, including securing Consents promptly and ensuring compliance
Qualifications:
  • Relevant BSc Degree
Additional Information:

Prior experience delivering a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project through the Planning Act 2008 legislation or similar, including large EIA projects, is advantageous.

Career progression and professional development are core values of the company. You will be encouraged and mentored to enhance your exposure to different projects and challenges.

Excellent packages are offered.
