Working within the food industry, the purpose of the role is to ensure high levels of hygiene across all production machinery, plants, and facilities. This involves high and low level cleaning of walls, floors, fittings, drains, and other equipment as required. As a key team member, you will work across all production areas, ensuring that all machines, fixtures, fittings, and buildings meet strict hygiene standards at all times.

We currently have vacancies on our night shifts, which operate on a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deep cleaning of production areas and associated equipment
• Maintaining accurate cleaning records at all times
• Keeping a safe working environment
• Ensuring hygiene tools are clean, fit for purpose, and hygienically stored
• Storing cleaning chemicals correctly
• Recording and reporting hygiene or food safety concerns or incidents
• Adhering to COSHH regulations, health, safety, and company policies
• Supporting the hygiene team as necessary
• Focusing on continuous improvement

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in cleaning practices and proven hygiene work experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of the fresh food sector (Desirable)
• CIEH Food Safety Level 2 (Desirable)
• Investors In People Silver Award status
