We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Social Worker - Learning Disability - Kingston Upon Thames - £31.31 per hour

Position Overview:

The Learning Disability Team is based at Sessions House in Surbiton and adopts RB Kingston’s hybrid working model, combining remote work with office visits and team meetings. The team includes a manager, two senior social workers, social workers, support coordinators, and a transition team with a senior transition coordinator and social workers. The team is experienced, stable, and knowledgeable.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake Care Act assessments for individuals in supported living and residential care settings.
  2. Support transitions for individuals with learning disabilities.
  3. Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities and transitions.
  • Experience in Care Act assessments and reviews.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Effective IT skills.
  • Strong team working and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with professionals and agencies.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Experience in social care, multi-agency work, and court environments.
  • Good communication and recording skills.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a car.
Additional Notes:

Social workers should be available to cover their caseloads and visit clients as needed. Home working may be permitted on occasion, subject to discussion at interview.
